Market Assessment, Development, and Implementation of an Economic Empowerment Model for Adolescent Girls

The market assessment, development, and implementation of an economic empowerment model for adolescent girls (EAGs-P) is a one year project from October 2024 to March 2025 funded by UNICEF and implemented by Catholic Relief Service (CRS)) in collaboration with Shalom Development Organization (SHADO). The project will be implemented in three councils of Songwe Region which are: Tunduma, Ileje, and Mbozi covering Mpemba, Kiwanjani in Tunduma Town Council, Sange and Chitete Wards in Ileje District Council, as well as Idiwili and Mlowo Wards in Mbozi District Council.

The EAGs-P intended to find opportunities and constraints facing adolescent girls in reaching their aspiration. Main objective of this project is to end early child pregnancy, by targeting 1,000 Vulnerable Adolescent girls from low income families aged between 14 to 19 years found in Ileje, Mbozi and Tunduma Councils.
