Currently, Shalom Development Organization is implementing Mtoto Kwanza Project that aims to catalyse the implementation of the National Multi-sectoral- Early Childhood Development Program (NM-ECDP), by ensuring advocacy and coordination of multi sectoral ECD efforts across regional and local government in collaboration with other ECD Stakeholders by sharing information, mobilization, generating knowledge and understanding on ECD and influence change towards early investments in young children of 0 – 8 years in Tanzania.

The five years project from 2021/22 to 2025/26 is implemented in Mbeya region targeting 7 Districts: Mbeya city, Mbeya district council, Mbarali, Chunya, Rungwe, Kyela and Ileje.

Mtoto kwanza project is funded by Tanzania Early Childhood Development Network (TECDEN) in promoting ECD agenda in Mbeya by envisions a society where all children are developmentally on track to reach their full potential.
